Honduras Paragliding Festival
March 25-29, 2026
The festival will take place SPRING 2026 in Villa de San Francisco, F.M. Suitable for novice pilots with autonomous skills.
A total of 5 days, with preliminary activities to promote tourism and paragliding.
Honduras is open for flying!
Every year the Honduras Paragliding Association organizes a festival, bringing together national and international pilots, sharing the sky in a non-competitive way and creating a space for learning and exploration.
We want to establish the country as a new destination for pilots to explore and the mountains of Honduras as the epicenter from where the sport will continue to grow.

Entry fee : $80 USD

Our motivation for the event is to have pilots of high level that can explore the area, exploiting the mountains, sharing knowledge while parawaiting or going XC. This for us will be very valuable, gathering data that can be used to advance the sport locally and learning from good pilots.
We believe that in order to grow as a community we need to be open to learn from others and leave egos aside.

FORMAT & RATINGS
The event will be open for exploration, so each day during our briefing session, we can discuss routes or goals. You may form teams with other pilots and decide to explore somewhere new.
During the event, we provide retrieves if you land inside a defined area. This is a wide area, covering the places we fly.
In the end, we want you to have fun, explore the potential of the region and leave us with important data, questions and recommendations.
Novice pilots are welcome to join the festival and we will guide you so you can fly the area in a safe way. But if we determine that the conditions for the day are not suitable for your skills, we will increase the rating needed for flying and focus on the more experienced pilots.
We are located in the Central American dry belt about 1.5 hrs East of the capital, Tegucigalpa.
Our main launch site is located at 1,600m with ample room for take off, gear setup, possibility North, East and South wind directions and nice cabins with camping area.
